Quin Rivers, Inc. Community Action Agency seeks an energetic, service-oriented professional to lead a dynamic non-profit organization that includes an 18-member tripartite Board of Directors, 21 personnel, and a $2.0 million annual budget. The Executive Director has the responsibility of day to day operations and oversight of programmatic initiatives focused on promoting healthy families and the well-being and safety of targeted individuals and families residing in a nine-county, rural region of Central Virginia. Required Qualifications: Competitive candidates must possess knowledge and experience working with applicable community-based programs and services. A strong financial management background and good organizational skills are essential. The ability to communicate effectively with all agency factions and community-based partners is equally essential.
The successful candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s degree with coursework in business administration, human services, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred with considerable experience managing a non-profit, community-based organization successfully, or an equivalent combination of experience and education.

Project Discovery Program Assistant Manager
The Project Discovery Program Assistant Manager will perform work under the supervision of the Project Discovery Program Manager. The Assistant Manager will assist with the following activities: plan, lead, and facilitate student workshops; maintain relationships with current partnering schools’ administration and staff; recruit students to the program; assist students to transition into post-secondary education, military, and/ or workforce positions; complete and manage student files and related administrative duties; develop and maintain professional relationships with area-wide high schools; expand the Project Discovery Program in area high schools; engage enrolled students in meaningful educational activities essential for successful advancement.
This is a part-time position with an opportunity for full-time, primarily based out of the Fredericksburg office.
Required Qualifications: A Bachelor’s Degree with coursework in education, human services or related fields is essential. Moderate experience in providing academic and social support in educational programming. Some grant writing and program management experience is desirable. A valid driver’s license in the Commonwealth of Virginia is essential.
