Violence Prevention Educator

Full-time

The Violence Prevention Educator will develop and implement prevention programming designed to address intimate partner violence and teen dating violence. The position will develop outreach and awareness campaigns designed to reduce incidents of interpersonal violence and reach the most vulnerable populations. The position will maintain confidential files and records, prepare reports for funders, and provide limited crisis intervention as assigned. Work is performed under the limited supervision of the Violence Prevention Coordinator and Program Manager.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree with coursework including psychology, social work, or related field and moderate experience in teaching program development, prevention education, or equivalent combination of education and experience. The successful candidate must possess working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Domestic and Sexual Violence Advocate

Full-time

The Domestic Violence Child and Youth Advocate provides direct and indirect services to youth survivors of domestic and sexual violence, facilitates individual and group counseling, provides advocacy on behalf of clients with various agencies, assists clients with navigating the legal system, accompanies victims to medical care facilities, provides transportation, provides public outreach and education to law enforcement and other community-based organizations, maintains files and records, prepares reports, and performs related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the limited supervision of the Advocacy Coordinator and Program Manager.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree with coursework in psychology, social work, human services, counseling, or related field and moderate experience in providing direct services to at-risk families, working with victims of domestic and sexual violence, or equivalent combination of education and experience. The successful candidate must possess working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
